Campwest is a tri-annual week long camp for Scouts and Girl Guides that is held in the September/October school holidays. It is a camp filled with a great range of activities and provides our Scouts the opportunity to work in Troops using the Patrol system. A camp like this gives our scouting youth many opportunities to learn new skills as well as develop and build on skills that they are taught during weekly programming. They catch up with old friends, make many new ones, and are able to step up to different challenges that take them out of their comfort zones. This is all done with the support of their Patrols, Patrol Leaders, Assistant Patrol Leaders along with Leaders, Venturers and the many volunteers that are there supporting them.
Bibra Lake Scout Group had 6 Scouts attend Campwest and they all had a great time.
Great activities including pioneering/construction, high ropes, segway, crate climbing, abseiling, frap tent activities, orienteering, geocaching, lazer tag, tunnels, frisbee golf, confidence course, challenge course and much more. Campwest 2017 was a fantastic success and an exhausting week of loads of adventure and fun for all!
